I mentioned at the end of the book that I usually listen to music while I write, and over the years of working on the novel, I listened to a lot of different music. I thought I’d try to distill what all was going through my head (and ears) during that time. Some of it–like Los Lobos and ZZ Top–actually gets mentioned in the book, some of it–like William Tyler’s westbound ambient guitar trips –might make sense tonally, and some might just surprise you.
